Hello and welcome! 

 

I’m Iva Mykhailian, a Ukrainian illustrator born in Kyiv, currently living in Germany.

 

Since childhood, I’ve loved books with beautiful and meaningful illustrations, and this passion has grown into my profession and inspiration.

 

I create detailed, atmospheric illustrations for children’s and young adult books, fairy tales, classical and contemporary stories, book covers, and educational books for children. I believe that images can add a touch of magic and depth to any story, making it resonate with both children and adults. In my work, I try to keep a tactile, handcrafted feeling in every illustration.

 

I studied at the Taras Shevchenko State Art School and graduated from the Kyiv National Academy of Fine Art and Architecture.

 

For over ten years, I have collaborated with Ukrainian and international publishers, including The Old Lion Publishing House, Ranok Publishing House, RM Publishing (Ukraine), Livraria Lello, Chiado Editora (Portugal), China National Publications Import & Export Corporation (China), among others.

 

I hope my illustrations will help stories find their voice and leave space for dreams.
